About This Site

This page is used to communicate both planned maintenance and unplanned outages affecting EMU I.T. computing systems.

All planned maintenance for major EMU systems is scheduled in conjunction with the ERP-Business Operations Committee (BOC). The BOC includes representation from various campus units and Faculty Senate. Maintenance dates can be found on the Maintenance Calendar which is published annually in December for the coming calendar year.

Scheduled - Monthly maintenance of EMU's computing systems is routinely performed on Friday evening from 6 p.m. to midnight.

Update - All test systems are now online with the exception of Banner and Applications Manager. We expect those systems to be back online by 8am Monday morning.

Resolved - Power has been restored and the network is recovered.

Identified - A network outage has been reported in Downing Hall. It has been determined that the outage is due to a power outage for the facility. Network should recover once power has been restored. We will continue to monitor.

Resolved - ATT has completed (Pierce) dispatch. Line coding on Pri/t1 card has been configured and errors on controller have cleared.

ATT will hold tkt for 24 hours. Issue has been resolved.

Identified - The issue has been identified by AT&T and in processed of being fixed. Tech was dispatched to EMU on 3/22 and replaced a T1 card. Additional configuration will need to be complete to fully restore by AT&T. Next Dispatch pending. Drop calls may result during peek voice traffic between EMU internal/external calls. Internal calls only will not be impacted. LOR as services is degraded only and not down hard.
