Maintenance of EMU's network equipment is scheduled for Friday, July 19, beginning at 5 p.m. and completing by midnight. During the maintenance all systems will remain online, but access to those systems will be disrupted as maintenance is performed.
1. Starting at 5 p.m., maintenance will be performed on the primary voice gateways for campus which will cause VoIP phones to be unable to place or receive calls for up to two hours. Active calls may drop when the work begins.
2. Starting at 6 p.m., maintenance will be performed on a number of network devices that will cause intermittent widespread disruptions in service of up to two hours during the window.
This maintenance may be completed before the end of the allocated window. However, the full window is reserved in the event issues emerge during the work. The maintenance is scheduled for this date and time to minimize impact on students and faculty and their access to campus services. Please plan to schedule work around these outages.
Cloud based services such as Google Mail and Canvas will remain accessible to anyone working from an off-campus location.
